We spent three weeks in Italy and have been looking everywhere for a good carbonara ever since. This is the closest we’ve had to authentic yet! It was amazing! The service was lovely and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
We had an excellent time at Frankie’s last night for our 27th wedding anniversary. We were delighted with our server Kelly, as she was energetic and fun. We ordered the risotto balls and calamari to start, as well as 2 Aperol spritz. Then the carpaccio and a Caesar salad. Our mains were the shrimp tagliatelle and the Alfredo tagliatelle with chicken, as well as another Aperol spritz and a lemoncello gin spritz. Desert was the flourless chocolate tort with vanilla ice cream. All in all an amazing night for our first visit to Frankie’s. We will definitely be back as soon as many other things looked so good.
4.4-4.5 stars seems right. Food was about what you would expect for Italian food made for North American consumption. No complaints. Feel like flavours could have been a bit more bold/risky. For example, the chicken linguini (which comes in a sundried tomato cream sauce) could have had 3x the amount of sundried tomatoes and 5x the garlic. That said, I would go back and try something else. We went at 7:45pm on a Saturday and got in no problem with no reservations, but were told that we would not have been able to get in at 6pm on a Saturday without one. Bellini was a 6/10 when compared to the one you get at Cactus Club. Not saying the one at Cactus is the best by any means, just trying to make a comparison with something nearby.
One of Chilliwack's few classy dining places and its not overpriced. The food served is of great quality, the wait staff professional, and the drink list covers all likes. There is a lounge, and main dining area which has large booths for family dinners. I enjoyed my carbonera, and sangria. Bon appetit!
I had a surprise birthday party for my husband May 4th. Right from the time I spoke with the receptionist then the manager, I knew I had made the right choice to make this a perfect day for him. They were so accommodating, right from the start. The food was served to all 30 of us at the same time, hot and delicious as always. Not sure how the chef can do this but everything looked and tasted wonderful. Our guests with special dietary needs were impressed and well taken care of. The servers bent over backwards to make everyone feel special. I highly recommend Frankie's and thank them all for making my husband's birthday a complete success!
Great food and drink, lots of gluten-free options. It sounds cheesy to say, but I'd give more stars if I could. Had a small grad celebration for our oldest child last night and the server, Jewel, was absolutely amazing. Seriously the best server I've ever had We were in the side room so it was quieter, perfect for my grandma who joined us.
We had a a large group of 28 for a special celebration and we booked the private event room in the back of the restaurant. Everything from start to finish went extremely well. We had our own server team and the service was attentive, unobtrusive and not rushed. The food was excellent and consistently well prepared across the four courses. We were there for four hours and never felt anything but welcomed and accommodated.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere. It was an excellent experience for a date night, and the food was off the charts. The best steak I have had in years from a restaurant. Was so worth it just having a chef that knows how to cook a steak perfectly! I will recommend this place to anyone!
